Want a website review that isn’t based on Code Validation or “Standard Web” this’s-and-that’s? Want a review that might be slightly biased, but will give you a raw, un-nit-picky and to-the-point approach? Apply to have your site reviewed the Cianopic way!

My reviews are based on my years of personal experience and are made to help you better yourself as a designer in the web world. I cover the basics, and give you the should’s and shouldn’t’s of web design. I don’t care about typos or how much free content you give out to your visitors. Rather, my reviews will focus on your site’s overall design and first impression aesthetic.

The Rubric is as Follows:

  • First Impression: Rated in Stars (1-5)
  • Originality
    • Focus: Design & Site Name/URL
    • Rating 1-5
  • Aesthetic & Appeal
    • Focus: Color Scheme & Typography
    • Rating 1-5
  • Organization
    • Focus: Coding, Resolution, & Content
    • Rating 1-5
  • Overall Problem Areas
    • Top 5 Issues Listed, If Any
    • Paragraph or two on what can be fixed and bettered.
  • Overall Progressive Areas
    • Top 5 Fortés Listed, If Any

The review will be completed and returned to you in a matter of 14 days. Your review will be zipped up in a .zip file, including a .txt credits file, any necessary screencaps, and an .html review page, and your Cianopic Review Grade Badge.

I will review only 3 sites maximum at once, and have a waiting list for applicants acceeding that amount. You will be able to see your link on this list (once it is set up). If the waiting list reaches 10 applicants, I will close the waiting list until at least 5 slots are open.

Bonus: Things to Consider as Webdesigner:

  • Originality is key!
  • Color Schemes Matter!
  • Typography Matters!
